On the night of April 26, Russia attacked Ukraine with 114 drones and three missiles, including Onyx. The air defense system shot down most of the drones, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"On the night of April 26, the enemy attacked with an Onyx anti-ship missile, two X-31P anti-radar missiles, and 114 attack UAVs," the statement said.

The occupants launched the targets from the areas of Kursk, Millerovo, Orel, and Prymorsko-Akhtarsk.

How the air defense system worked

The enemy's air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

"As of 10:00 a.m. Kyiv time, 66 Shahed attack UAVs (and other types of drones) were confirmed to have been shot down in the east, north, south, and center of the country," the military said.

In addition, 31 enemy imitator drones were lost in the area.

Consequences of Russia's attack on Ukraine
