Russia attacks Ukraine with drones from six directions - Air defense responds

Russia carried out a massive drone strike on Ukraine during the night of July 15, launching nearly 300 UAVs, most of them Shahed drones, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
From the evening of July 14 to the morning of July 15, Russia launched a massive attack involving 267 strike drones, the majority of which were Shahed-131/136.
The launches were carried out from northern, eastern, and southern directions: from the areas of Oryol, Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as from temporarily occupied territory in the Donetsk region.
Ukrainian defenders engaged all available resources: aircraft, anti-aircraft missile troops, mobile fire teams, electronic warfare systems, and unmanned systems forces.
As of 1:00 p.m. Kyiv time, according to the Air Force, 178 strike drones, primarily Shahed and other types, were shot down, while 66 decoy UAVs were jammed by electronic earfare systems.
Confirmed 23 drone strikes occurred in seven settlements, and drone debris fell in nine other locations.
Attack on Ukraine
In the Zaporizhzhia region, the air raid alert lasted over 15 hours, with local authorities warning of incoming drone strikes.
Due to the shelling of Huliaipole, two people were injured. Meanwhile, in Zaporizhzhia city, drone attacks caused fires and damaged an administrative building belonging to a critical infrastructure facility.
In the Kharkiv region, drone strikes caused fires in several populated areas, with the Kupiansk district being hit the hardest.
