Russia attacks passenger train just 2 km from Polish border

On September 13, Russian troops struck a passenger train locomotive in Volyn. The attack took place near the border with Poland, reports Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways).
“Today in Volyn, two kilometers from the border with Poland, the enemy struck the locomotive of a passenger train,” the statement reads.
Ukrzaliznytsia noted that a monitoring team detected the threat in advance and warned the train crew. No casualties were reported. The company has not reported any injuries resulting from this attack.
Ukrzaliznytsia continues to monitor aerial threats and take measures to ensure the safety of passengers and railway workers.
On September 12, Russian troops attacked a passenger train in Lutsk. Passengers and railway employees were evacuated in time, so no one was injured. The strike caused a fire, which rescue workers later extinguished.
On the morning of September 8, Russian drones attacked a train on the Kyiv–Sumy route as it approached Sumy. The train was stopped in time, so passengers and railway workers were evacuated before further incidents occurred.
