The Russian army continues to modify the technical specifications and flight routes of its strike drones used to attack Ukraine, RBC-Ukraine reports, citing Vadym Mysnyk, Spokesperson for the operational and tactical group of troops Siversk.

"Of course, the technical characteristics of the drones used by the enemy are constantly changing. These UAVs are being improved, as are our electronic warfare countermeasures," Mysnyk said.

Ukrainian spokesperson noted changes in the routes drones take, particularly those originating from Russia's Kursk and Bryansk regions.

"The enemy is also changing their approach routes. Strategically, these routes are primarily determined from the Kursk region. We've also observed approaches from the Bryansk region. They adjust altitudes and routes," Mysnyk explained.

Ukrainian military added that mobile fire groups of Ukraine's Defense Forces aim to inflict maximum damage at certain defensive echelons to prevent enemy drones from penetrating deeper into Ukrainian territory.

In December, Oleksandr Pivnenko, Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, stated that 900 fire groups, including approximately 500 mobile units, are tasked with protecting Ukraine's critical infrastructure.

According to Pivnenko, these National Guard fire groups work in tandem with the Air Force to ensure the effective functioning of Ukraine's air defense system.
