Return centers for Ukrainian refugees may open in three European countries. They may appear in Poland, Czechia, and Germany, Denik N reports.

These centers will aim to facilitate the return of Ukrainian refugees to the country. The newly created institutions "are designed to help Ukrainians with their return, as well as serve as cultural and community centers."

In particular, according to the source, Ukraine is ready to accept citizens living abroad, for example, in the defense industry, as the country lacks qualified workers.

Czechia

As for the Czech center, Ukraine's Vice Prime Minister Oleksiy Chernyshov will discuss its appearance during his visit to Czechia next week.

"The creation of return centers in Czechia will, among other things, be the subject of a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov, responsible for relations with Ukrainian citizens abroad, who is visiting Czechia on January 28," the Communications Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told the media outlet.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, there are currently about 390,000 people from Ukraine with temporary protection in Czechia. At the same time, about 60% of refugees plan to stay there after the war ends.

Poland and Berlin

A refugee return center is being prepared in Berlin. According to the publication, Ukraine has also discussed this project with Poland.

In early January, Chernyshov said that refugees returning from abroad could be exempted from mobilization.
