Results of war in 2023 and forecasts for 2024: Ukraine's army chief holds talks with U.S. General

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, held a telephone conversation with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States, General Charles Brown, according to Zaluzhnyi's Telegram channel.
According to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he informed Brown about the situation on the battlefield, as well as in specific sectors of the front.
"I shared the results of the analysis of military actions in 2023 and forecasts for 2024. Together with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States, we exchanged views on issues of mutual strategic interest," clarified Zaluzhnyi.
He also added that he thanked Brown and the entire American people for their support of Ukraine in the fight against the Russians.
Results of the war in 2023
In the summer of 2023, the Ukrainian military conducted a counteroffensive. It was focused on the southeastern part of the country.
Despite the fact that Ukrainian defenders managed to liberate about 10 settlements, the objectives of the counteroffensive were not achieved.
