The cottage cheese dough always turns out delicious. It's soft and fluffy, and it pairs well with any filling. You can make very quick and tasty buns from this dough, perfect for breakfast or to take on the go, according to Prosti Retsepty (Simple Recipes - ed.).


For the dough:

  • Cottage cheese - 250 g
  • Eggs - 2
  • Sour cream - 3 tbsp
  • Sugar - 1 tbsp
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Salt - 0.5 tsp
  • Baking soda - 0.5 tsp
  • Flour - 300 g

For the filling:

  • Potatoes - 700 g
  • Egg - 1
  • Heavy cream - 30 g
  • Milk - 50 ml
  • Onion - 1
  • Salt - to taste


1. Boil the potatoes in salted water, drain the water, and mash them with heavy cream and milk. Optionally, you can add a bit of fresh dill. Sauté the onion and add it to the potatoes, mixing everything well.

2. Mix the cottage cheese with eggs, salt, baking soda, sugar, and sour cream. Mix everything well until you get a uniform consistency. Add oil and mix again. Sift the flour and gradually add it to the mixture, kneading a soft dough. Cover it and leave it for 10 minutes.

3. Divide the dough into 12 parts and form balls. Make buns with the potato filling and fry them on both sides until golden brown.

The buns will turn out soft and fluffy, perfect to serve with sour cream or melted heavy cream.
