Put this ingredient on menu to please Fire Horse - It will bring wealth Which food to put on table for New Year’s Eve – RBC-Ukraine collage

2026 will be the Year of the Fire Horse. This spirited yet hardworking animal calls for a special approach to the holiday menu. Astrologers and esoteric experts unanimously point to the key ingredient that must be on the table to attract wealth into your home.

RBC-Ukraine shares which foods should be on your holiday table.

What to Put on the Table to Please the Horse in 2026

As we welcome 2026, we greet the Fire element and a symbol of unstoppable energy. The Horse does not like heavy, complicated dishes drenched in mayonnaise. It appreciates natural, fresh, and crunchy foods.

If you want to attract financial success in the coming year, don’t skimp on one very specific supermarket section.

A large amount of fresh greens will be your talisman for New Year’s Eve. Why?

First, greens are the Horse’s favorite treats, reminding it of lush meadows and freedom. Second, in esoteric traditions, rich green is directly associated with money and growth energy.

How to serve greens effectively:

Meadow effect

Don’t just sprinkle dill over a dish. Arrange sliced meats or a cheese platter on large leaves of lettuce, arugula, or spinach. The plate should look like a green meadow.

Bouquets of abundance

Place a small vase or glass in the center of the table with fresh bunches of parsley, cilantro, and basil. This symbolizes the tree of life and prosperity.

Microgreens

If you find sprouted seeds (pea or sunflower shoots), it’s a jackpot. Seeds symbolize fertility, and sprouting, they represent the start of new profitable projects.

Other ingredients the Fire Horse will appreciate:

Carrots (gold)

Cut into sticks for hummus or add to salads. The bright orange color symbolizes gold and serves as a sweet treat for the Horse.

Apples (health and love)

Bake a duck or goose with apples, or simply place beautiful red apples in a fruit bowl. This ensures strong health for the whole family.

Black bread or oatmeal cookies

The Horse loves oats and grains. A slice of whole-grain bread on the table shows respect for labor and symbolizes abundance for the year ahead.

What to avoid on the table

To avoid upsetting the 2026 symbol, steer clear of beef dishes. Cows and horses are natural neighbors, so large steaks or veal in aspic could “scare away” luck.

The Horse also dislikes artificial foods. Avoid processed products, overly fatty sauces, and canned foods on their own. Focus on freshness, natural vegetables, and lightness.
