Prague police report shooting at university: People killed and injured
In the central part of Prague, Czechia, a shooting occurred today, December 21. Preliminary information indicates casualties and injuries, informs the Czech police.
"At the moment, we are responding to reports of a shooting at the Jan Palach Square school," the statement says.
The police specified that the entire Jan Palach Square and the adjacent area are completely closed.

"According to preliminary information, we can confirm that there are casualties and injuries at the scene," law enforcement officials added.
The police clarify that the shooter has been neutralized.
"At the moment, the entire building is being evacuated, and there are several fatalities and dozens of injuries at the scene," the police added.
Shootings in educational institutions worldwide
Recently, it was reported that two people died, and five others were injured in a shooting at a gymnasium in Bryansk (Russia). The assailant was an eighth-grader who later took her own life.
Moreover, in May, in the Serbian community of Vračar, a seventh-grader carried out a shooting in one of the educational institutions. At that time, 10 people lost their lives.
