Powerful magnetic storm engulfs Earth: Storm will continue on Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day in 2025 may not only be romantic but also stormy - literally. Scientists are warning of a prolonged and powerful magnetic storm that hit our planet on February 12 and will last for several days.
What is a magnetic storm
A magnetic storm is a disturbance of the Earth's magnetic field caused by solar activity, such as solar flares and coronal mass ejections. These phenomena release large amounts of energy that interact with our planet's magnetic field, creating geomagnetic disturbances.
How a magnetic storm affects humans
Magnetic storms can affect people in different ways:
Physical well-being. Some people may experience headaches, dizziness, fatigue, and generalized poor health.
Emotional state. Violent solar activity can cause increased anxiety, irritability, and depression.
Sleep. Magnetic storms can disrupt sleep, causing insomnia or poor sleep.
The most common complaints:
- Headache
- Migraine
- Dizziness
- Fog in the head
- Insomnia
- Weakness
- Drowsiness during the day
- Rapid fatigue
- Decreased concentration and performance
- Increased anxiety
- Depression
- Irritability
- Aggression
- Depressive states
- Pressure surges
- Problems with heartbeat
Which days will be dangerous
According to forecasts, the following magnetic storms are expected from February 12 to 16, 2025:
February 12 - a strong magnetic storm in the afternoon and evening may cause a deterioration in health. The K-index will rise to 6.
February 13 - the strength of the magnetic storm will be slightly lower, up to K-index 5.
February 14 - Valentine's Day may be marked by a red-level magnetic storm with a K-index 5.
February 15 - strong aurora and possible radio communication disruptions. The K-index can reach 5, which also corresponds to a strong magnetic storm (G1).
February 16 - a calm geomagnetic situation is expected, without significant disturbances.
It is worth noting that all forecasts by scientists are preliminary, as the Sun's activity can change rapidly. Therefore, it is worth following the updates and warnings from experts.

How to support the body during magnetic storms
During the period of magnetic storms, it is important to support the body and you do not need to do anything special. It will be enough to follow a normal daily routine, reduce physical and psycho-emotional stress, eat well, and get enough sleep.
Rest. Try to get more rest and avoid physical and emotional overload.
Hydration. Drink enough water to maintain your body's water balance.
Avoiding stress. Practice relaxation techniques such as meditation or breathing exercises.
Healthy diet. Consume more fresh fruits and vegetables rich in vitamins and minerals.
Fresh air. Try to walk outdoors for at least 30-45 minutes during the day. Ventilate the room.
In addition, doctors advise not to abuse coffee, energy drinks, alcohol, and junk food.
Earlier, we wrote that scientists have named the causes of headaches in the morning.
We also talked about which foods cause frequent headaches.
