Polish carriers block Ukraine border crossing again
Truck movement at the Dorohusk-Yagodin border crossing between Poland and Ukraine was blocked today, December 18, in the afternoon. This occurred due to a new protest action by Polish carriers, informs the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
"Today, after 3:00 PM, Polish carriers began a protest action on the approach roads to the Dorohusk-Yagodin border crossing. Information about its start came from the Border Guard of the Republic of Poland," the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine stated in their message.
It is clarified that the organizers of the protest want to allow only one truck per hour to pass. However, they will allow the passage of humanitarian and military aid, as well as trucks with animals and perishable goods.
Border guards specify that the protesters do not intend to obstruct the movement of buses.
Border blockade
Polish carriers began a strike at several border crossings with Ukraine in early November. They demand that the EU revoke "transport visa-free" status with our country.
Last week, on Monday, the protesters stopped blocking the Yagodin-Dorohusk crossing point. Local authorities prohibited strikes there, but later the court overturned such a decision.
