Poland and allied countries have deployed military aviation into the sky on the night of May 25 due to the ongoing massive Russian missile attacks on Ukrainian territory, according to the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces.

"We would like to draw attention to the fact that Polish and allied aircraft are operating in the airspace, which may result in increased noise levels, especially in the southeastern part of the country," the announcement said.

The Polish Armed Forces Command noted that there is intensive activity of Russian long-range aviation tonight due to the task of missile strikes on objects located, including on the western territory of Ukraine.

Polish military also reminded that before the current intense activity of Russian aviation due to massive attacks on Ukraine, similar activity was recorded on the night of May 7-8.

"All necessary procedures have been initiated to ensure the safety of Poland's airspace, and the Air Force's Operational Command is constantly monitoring the situation," the announcement said.

Russian night air strikes on Ukraine

It was previously reported that in Ukraine, on the night of May 26, an air alarm was declared across the country.

The evening before, in the Air Force command, there were reports of the detection of combat drones of the Shahed type in the sky over various regions. Later, launches of cruise missiles by the enemy were recorded, carried out by strategic aviation (about five Tu-22M3 aircraft), on the territory of Ukraine.

In addition, explosions were heard in the Khmelnytskyi region during the air alarm.
