Poland activates jets due to Russian missile attack on Ukraine
Poland has deployed its own and allied aircraft in the southeastern part of the country in response to a large-scale Russian missile attack on Ukraine, according to Polish Armed Forces Operational Command on social media platform X.
"Intensive long-range aviation activity of Russia has been observed tonight, related to strikes performed against objects located on the territory of Ukraine. The last such increased activity of Russian long-range aviation was recorded on 27 August this year," the statement read.
Due to the threat, the command does not rule out an increase in noise levels associated with the commencement of flights by Polish and allied aircraft in our airspace.
"All necessary procedures to ensure the safety of Polish airspace have been launched, and DO RSZ is monitoring the situation on an ongoing basis," the statement added.
Uwaga, w południowo-wschodnim obszarze kraju może występować podwyższony poziom hałasu związany z rozpoczęciem operowania w naszej przestrzeni powietrznej polskich i sojuszniczych statków powietrznych.
