Overnight shelling of Crimea: Media report strike on airport with casualties

Last night, on April 30, ballistic missiles attacked the Dzhankoy military airfield. ASTRA reports that the Russian troops were wounded.
According to ASTRA, a helicopter regiment of the 4th Command of the Russian Air Force, as well as air defense of the Southern Military District, was stationed at the airfield. As a result of the attack, 5 Russians were wounded.
The agency notes that that night eyewitnesses reported a fire and numerous explosions at the military airfield. At the same time, the collaborators claimed that the missile attack was completely repelled by air defense.
The attack could have been carried out by ATACMS missiles.

That night, loud explosions were heard over Simferopol and Dzhankoy. Telegram channels reported at least ten powerful strikes. In particular, the Russians blocked the Crimean bridge.
According to Defense Express, explosions were also allegedly heard in Yevpatoria, Hvardiyskiyi and Krasnoperekopskiyi districts. In particular, there is information that the attack on Crimea could have been a combined one: in addition to missiles, long-range drones were used. It is noted that the Ukrainian Defense Forces could have used American ATACMS to destroy enemy air defense positions.
