One day only: Finland opens its prime minister's residence to the public

Finland’s official prime minister’s residence, Kesäranta, in Helsinki, will open its doors to the public for one day. Visitors will be able to tour the building’s official reception rooms and the grounds, with no advance registration required, according to Yle.
Finland’s official prime minister’s residence, Kesäranta, in Helsinki will open to visitors on Saturday, September 12. During the open house, visitors will be able to join guided tours of the main building and the residence grounds. Tours will begin at 9:00 a.m.
What visitors will be able to see
Guests will be shown the official reception rooms in the main building, as well as the park on the residence grounds. However, the private section of the residence will remain closed to visitors.
Advance registration is not required. According to the Prime Minister’s Office, each tour will last approximately 40 minutes.
Kesäranta is located in Helsinki’s Meilahti district, directly by the sea. The building was completed in 1873.
Visitors are warned that lines may form during the open house. All guests will also be required to undergo a security screening.
