The number of people injured in a missile strike on a high-rise building in Kharkiv on the morning of August 9 has exceeded 20. Among them is a 5-year-old boy, according to Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Head Oleh Syniehubov.
Russian forces struck a residential apartment building in Kharkiv's Saltivskyi district, destroying floors 7 through 10.
Two men, aged 50 and 66, are currently known to have been killed.
At least 21 people were injured, including a 5-year-old boy. Eleven people sustained blast injuries, two suffered carbon monoxide poisoning, and another eight, including the child, experienced acute stress reactions.

Four people have been hospitalized and are receiving medical treatment. The remaining injured people received medical assistance at the scene.
Search and rescue operations are ongoing.
The number of people injured in the Russian attack on Kharkiv has risen to 27.
Two more people sought medical attention for cuts, while another two experienced acute stress reactions.
Missile strike on Kharkiv
As a reminder, on Sunday morning, August 9, Russia struck a high-rise building in Kharkiv with missiles. The floors between the 7th and 10th levels were destroyed.
Many people were injured and two people were killed. People were also reported to be trapped under the rubble.
