No threat of Ukrainian Forces encirclement in Velyka Novosilka - Military reports

There is no threat of encirclement of Ukrainian troops in the Velyka Novosilka area. Battles for the settlement are ongoing, according to the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade (SMB).
"Let us state immediately: there is no threat of encirclement of our units," the military emphasized.
According to the 110th SMB, Ukrainian units skillfully withdrew from areas where the threat of encirclement had emerged, utilizing weather conditions.
"This does not mean we have completely withdrawn from the village; battles in Velyka Novosilka are ongoing. All actions are aimed at minimizing our own losses and inflicting maximum damage on the enemy," the brigade stated.
Russian tactics in the Velyka Novosilka area
In recent days, the occupiers have attempted to block Ukrainian strongholds with massive infantry forces. However, the use of equipment has been virtually neutralized — both by the Ukrainian Armed Forces and by the occupiers themselves.
"Everything that came within a kilometer of the contact line was destroyed. While we are roughly equal with the enemy in terms of artillery and FPV drones, the Russians have a significant advantage in infantry numbers," the Ukrainian military added.

As military expert and retired Major of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksii Hetman explained in a comment to RBC-Ukraine, the dynamic nature of events in Velyka Novosilka requires close monitoring. At present, it is more important to preserve forces for further combat than to hold the settlement.
