Last night, during the repulsion of another Russian air attack by Shahed drones, the air defense forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 7 enemy UAVs, reports the press service of the Air Force.

The military noted that a total of 8 kamikaze drones were launched by the Russians.

"On the night of December 28, 2023, the Russian invaders attacked with eight Shahed UAVs from the Primorsko-Akhtarsk region of the Russian Federation," the statement said.

The Air Force also clarified that 7 enemy drones were shot down by fighter aircraft, air defense units, and mobile fire groups within three regions, namely in Dnipro, Kirovohrad, and Zaporizhzhia.

On the night of December 28, the Russian occupiers once again attacked the territory of Ukraine with Shahed-type attack drones. The Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the movement of enemy UAVs, in particular, in Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, and Cherkasy regions.

Air alerts were announced in the regions. The military announced that the threat of enemy attacks with the use of Shaheds had been averted at around 04:20.

Also, around 11 p.m. on Wednesday, explosions were heard in Zaporizhzhia, and there were reports of air defense activity and several enemy drones being shot down.
