Night attack on Ukraine: Air defense forces down 18 drones and 1 missile
Russian forces launched a night attack on Ukrainian territory employing combat drones and an aerial missile on December 4. Air Defense Forces were engaged in nine regions of the country, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
"On the night of December 4, 2023, the adversary attacked with 23 Shahed-136/131 combat UAVs from Cape Chauda in the occupied Crimea and a guided aviation missile from the airspace of the occupied Kherson region," the statement from the Ukrainian Air Force said.
It is reported that fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine were deployed to repel the aerial attack.
As a result of coordinated military action, 18 Russian combat drones and one guided aviation missile Kh-59 were destroyed. Anti-aircraft defense operated in no fewer than nine regions of Ukraine.

Russian forces launched several groups of Shahed-type combat drones into Ukrainian territory late in the evening on December 3. Air raid sirens were sounded in several southern, central, and western regions.
According to reports from the Air Defense Forces, enemy drones reached the Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
There were reports of air defense activity in the Khmelnytskyi region, but fortunately, without any casualties or damage to buildings.
