According to the stylist, 2026 is the Year of the Fire Horse, so it’s best to focus on a “fiery” palette in your outfits.

“We choose warm shades like burgundy, red, and deep wine tones. You can also consider emerald, lime, earthy, and gold colors,” Denysiuk explains.

At the same time, cool tones such as blue and light blue, while still fashionable, are recommended by astrologers to be used more cautiously for New Year’s Eve.

“Blue and light blue are colors of the water element, which can dampen fire. And according to the symbolism of the year, that is best avoided,” the stylist explains.

Halyna Denysiuk emphasizes that astrology does not directly dictate fashion choices, but many people consciously consider the year’s symbolism on New Year’s Eve.

How to combine bold colors for a stylish look

To prevent bright shades from looking too overwhelming, the stylist advises pairing them with neutral tones.

“Red works very well with black; it is always elegant. It also pairs nicely with muted gray or white,” Denysiuk explains.

For brown outfits, she suggests adding broad green accents.

“With brown, I would choose a more emerald shade, it gives a rich and harmonious look,” adds the stylist.
