Nearly 200 drones attack Ukraine overnight, air defenses destroy most targets

On the night of September 15, Russia attacked Ukraine with nearly 200 Shahed and Gerbera-type drones from several directions. Air defense forces shot down most of the targets, but there were hits, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On the night of September 15, starting at 6:00 p.m. (Kyiv time) on September 14, the Russian army attacked Ukraine with 200 Shahed-type attack drones, including jet-powered modifications, as well as Gerbera drones and Parodiya drone imitators.
The enemy launched the targets from several directions:
- Oryol, Kursk, and Millerovo in Russia;
- Temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk region;
- Temporarily occupied Hvardiiske in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
According to preliminary data as of 8:00 a.m., air defense forces shot down or suppressed 187 enemy Shahed, Gerbera, and other types of drones.
Russian aerial attack weapons hit targets at seven locations. At three more locations, falling debris from downed drones was recorded.
As of the morning of September 15, enemy drones remain in Ukraine's airspace.
Meanwhile, explosions were also heard in Kyiv in the morning of September 15 due to drones. An enemy drone hit a gas station in the Darnytskyi district.
One person was injured there. A drone also hit warehouse facilities in the Obolonskyi district.
US President Donald Trump previously stated that Ukraine and Russia had allegedly agreed on an energy ceasefire.
However, according to the Financial Times, Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin is not ready to conclude such an agreement before winter, as strikes on energy infrastructure are intended to increase pressure on Kyiv.
