More than 10 impacts reported after Russia fires missiles and drones at Ukraine overnight

On the night of July 22, Russia attacked Ukraine with four missiles and 216 attack drones launched from multiple directions. Ukrainian air defense forces managed to shoot down most of the enemy targets, but some strikes got through, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
Overnight, Russian forces launched:
- 1 Iskander-M ballistic missile from the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea;
- 3 Kh-59/69 guided air-launched missiles from the airspace over the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea;
- 216 Shahed-type attack drones (including jet-powered variants), Gerbera, Italmas, and Parodiya decoy drones from the directions of Bryansk, Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), Donetsk (temporarily occupied territory), and Hvardiiske (temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea).
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 8:30 a.m., air defense had shot down or suppressed three Kh-59/69 guided air-launched missiles and 204 enemy drones in the north, south, center, and east of the country.
Hits by one Iskander-M ballistic missile and 12 attack drones were recorded at 12 locations. Debris from intercepted targets fell at seven locations.
"The attack is ongoing, and enemy drones remain in the airspace. Follow safety rules!" the Air Force warned.
Attack on Kyiv region on July 22
During the night of July 22, Russian forces attacked the Kyiv region with drones.
In the Bucha district, five civilians were affected, including three children. They suffered acute stress reactions.
Overall, five private homes were damaged as a result of the enemy attack.
