Miami G20 may open door to trilateral Ukraine-US-Russia talks - Zelenskyy

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the upcoming G20 summit in Miami could provide a venue for a trilateral meeting between Ukraine, the United States, and Russia. Kyiv is ready to support such a format if the parties reach an appropriate agreement, according to Suspilne.
G20 could become venue for talks
Zelenskyy said the Ukrainian and US sides had already discussed the possibility of holding a trilateral meeting during the summit. According to him, the G20 format could create conditions for talks involving representatives of the three countries.
"I believe this is one of the best opportunities proposed by the American side, by President Trump, regarding the G20. I believe this is a potential opportunity for a trilateral meeting to take place with a real result," Zelenskyy said.
What could help produce a result
According to the president, additional opportunities for negotiations could come from the participation of other influential countries at the summit. These include China, India, Middle Eastern countries and Ukraine's European partners. Some of these countries continue to maintain economic ties with Russia.
Zelenskyy stressed that Kyiv is ready to participate in such a meeting if the parties agree on the appropriate format.
"In my opinion, this could be an atmosphere where a result can be achieved. Of course, Ukraine will support it if such a format is established and there is an appropriate agreement," the president added.
The possibility of holding the meeting is being discussed amid an invitation extended to Russian President Vladimir Putin to attend the December G20 summit in Miami.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that during the full-scale war, he had been forced to make many difficult decisions, and not all of them had been correct. According to him, the large number of decisions and agreements he had to make every day led to some mistakes.
