Massive attack on Ukraine: High-rise buildings on fire in four cities
Russia today, on December 29, launched a massive attack on Ukraine. As a result of the assault, buildings are ablaze in four major cities in Ukraine.
Sources used in preparing the material: Telegram channels of the mayor of Kyiv, Vitalii Klychko, Kyiv City Administration, the mayor of Lviv, Andrii Sadovyi, the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maxym Kozytskyi, the Sumy Regional Military Administration, and various Odesa Telegram channels.
Kyiv
According to local authorities, there were no direct hits in Kyiv. However, debris fell in several areas, causing damage to residential buildings:
- In the Svyatoshynskyi district - a multi-story building and parked cars caught fire.
- In the Shevchenkivskyi district - damage to a residential building.
- In the Darnytskyi district - damage to a residential building with no reported casualties.
Overall, Kyiv reported seven people who have been injured and hospitalized as a result of the attack.
Lviv
Lviv was attacked twice today by the Russians, first with Shahed drones and then with missiles. During the second wave of the attack, a residential building was hit, resulting in casualties.
Additionally, a fire broke out in one of the high schools in Lviv, likely caused by debris from downed missiles.
Konotop
In the Sumy region, the enemy launched a missile attack on the town of Konotop. There are reports of damage to a multi-apartment building, with three people having been injured in the attack.
Odesa
Local authorities have not officially reported the consequences of the morning attack. However, explosions were heard in Odesa due to the operation of air defense systems. Online reports indicate that a multi-story building was hit.
There was also an attack on a multi-story building in Odesa on the evening of December 28, with debris from downed kamikaze drones affecting the building.
Massive Russian attack
Russian terrorists have been attacking Ukraine with missiles and kamikaze drones since the night. Explosions were reported in the Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lviv, Dnipro, Odesa, Sumy, and Cherkasy regions.
