Make this simple change to your breakfast and lose 2 kilograms in month

How to lose weight and what to eat for breakfast? A doctor specializing in weight loss recommends one simple change to your breakfast to help you shed a few pounds.
Mirror explains what exactly you need to do.
What breakfast change is needed for weight loss
Professor Franklin Joseph, a leading weight management specialist at Dr. Frank's weight loss clinic, advises his patients to make small, sustainable dietary changes rather than resorting to extreme calorie cuts.
One of his key recommendations is replacing instant oatmeal with oat bran, which is the outer layer of the oat grain.
"Oat bran is one of the most underrated breakfast foods," he said.
Most people think all oats are the same, but oat bran has significantly more protein and fiber, making it much better for weight loss.
Oat bran contains about 50% more protein and nearly twice the fiber compared to instant oatmeal. This means you stay full longer, reducing mid-morning hunger cravings that often lead to unhealthy snacking.
Oat bran is linked to many health benefits, such as improved blood sugar control, better gut health, and lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels.
"When my patients switch to oat bran for breakfast, they often find they naturally eat fewer calories throughout the day. That’s because protein and fibre slow down digestion, stabilise blood sugar levels, and prevent the kind of cravings that derail a weight-loss plan," the expert said.
A high-protein, high-fiber breakfast helps people feel full longer, leading to reduced calorie intake throughout the day.
According to the professor, this simple breakfast change could help lose up to 2 kilograms in a month.
