Majority of Iranians support Ukraine in its war with Russia, says Iranian opposition figure Vahid Beheshti (RBC-Ukraine, Vitaliy Nosach)

The majority of Iranians support Ukraine. The overthrow of the Putin regime will undoubtedly benefit Iran, as the local regime will inevitably collapse without Kremlin backing, believes Iranian opposition figure and political exile Vahid Beheshti, as he says in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

"The absolute majority of Iranians, the hearts of the absolute majority of Iranians, are with Ukrainians," he said.

According to Beheshti, Iranians hate Russia and President Vladimir Putin because they feel the impact of Russian terrorist activities more than anyone else in the world.

Beheshti believes that the supreme leader of the terrorist regime in Iran is a "puppet of Putin." "That's why their hearts are with Ukrainians. They wholeheartedly support Ukrainians in their war, and they draw inspiration from Ukrainians," he added.

Iran and Russia

The Iranian regime supports Russian aggression against Ukraine. Tehran supplies Moscow with weaponry, including kamikaze drones Russians use to attack peaceful cities in Ukraine.

About Beheshti

Vahid Beheshti was forced to leave his homeland 24 years ago. Settling in London, he continued to fight for the freedom of his people in exile. Earlier this year, he gained the attention of many global media outlets when he announced a hunger strike outside the UK Foreign Office, demanding that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) - the main pillar of the ruling regime in Iran - be listed as a terrorist organization.
