The operation of the messenger Telegram and other anonymous platforms in Ukraine during the war may be restricted. The proposal was voiced after the terror attack in Lviv, whose perpetrator was recruited through this social network.

According to her, the terror attack in Lviv has once again brought to the forefront the issue of how services such as Telegram operate within Ukraine’s information space.

Vereshchuk stressed that Russia systematically uses this messenger to recruit perpetrators, coordinate their actions, and organize terrorist attacks.

She said this was another reminder to reconsider the functioning of Telegram and other anonymous platforms in Ukraine’s information space during wartime, adding that if restricting these platforms is necessary to protect people’s lives and national security, then such steps should be taken.
