Kurakhove frontline situation described by Ukraine's General Staff

Since the beginning of the day, 10 combat engagements have taken place in the vicinity of Kurakhove. This area remains one of the hottest on the entire frontline of the Russian-Ukrainian war, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“Our troops are repelling the occupiers, who have a significant advantage in personnel and equipment, and are attacking with the support of artillery and aviation,” the General Staff writes.
The military informs that in an effort to capture Kurakhove at any cost, the enemy is conducting active assault operations on the southeastern outskirts of the city. The enemy is trying to seize a road junction and an apartment block in the southern part of the town.
“For this purpose, as well as to seize important administrative and industrial facilities and structures located in the central part of the city, they are trying to infiltrate sabotage and reconnaissance groups,” the statement said.
In particular, there are documented cases of subversive reconnaissance groups using civilians as infiltrators. In order to prevent such actions of the enemy, the Defense Forces are taking counter-sabotage measures.
“The command is making all necessary decisions taking into account the complexity of the situation,” the General Staff added.
The General Staff also reminded that Russia continues to wage a comprehensive hybrid war against Ukraine. In particular, along with the offensive of its troops on the ground, the enemy is actively implementing special operations in the information space.
“For example, in support of the Kurakhove operation, the enemy is spreading distorted information about the situation in the city. Therefore, please observe information hygiene and trust official sources. Trust the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the military emphasized.
Yesterday, the DeepState project reported that the enemy continues to advance into the depths of Kurakhove, gradually occupying the central part of the city.
In particular, they referred to a video of Russians running past houses and removing Ukrainian symbols that were still present in the center. Moreover, the enemy hung the Russian flag on the building of the Kurakhove City Council.
In addition, the enemy captured four soldiers of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
