Krynky in crosshairs: Occupiers target Ukraine forces - Southern Defense Forces
Russian occupiers have concentrated their efforts on Krynky in the Kherson region. Invaders are attempting to displace Ukrainian forces from the area, according to Natalia Humeniuk, the spokesperson for the Southern Ukraine Defense Forces, during a television marathon.
"Our combat operations for securing and expanding our foothold continue there, while the enemy attempts to push out our units. Practically, there are no intact buildings left, and artillery units from both sides are actively engaged. Additionally, the enemy has heavily bombarded this region," the spokesperson noted.
Humeniuk added that approximately 10,000 Russians are concentrated in the Krynky area of the Kherson region.
Military officials are urging local residents to evacuate from the active conflict zone.
The situation on the left bank of the Kherson region
Recall that in the fall of 2023, it became known that our troops were consolidating their position on the left bank of the Kherson region, particularly on the foothold in the area of the settlement of Krynky.
The General Staff explained that the Armed Forces of Ukraine aim to push Russian occupiers away from the right bank of the Dnipro, reducing civilian shelling. Spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, Natalia Humeniuk, emphasized that the work on the left bank is ongoing.
