Ukrainian border guards are setting up additional observation posts in the Kharkiv region. They will help fight Russian saboteurs more effectively, says Ihor Klymenko, Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, during his visit to the Kharkiv region.

"We pay special attention to countering enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups. Our units constantly detect and repel Russian saboteurs," he said.

Border guards are setting up additional observation posts to strengthen control, he said.

"The number of response teams has also been increased," the Interior Minister added.

Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups in Ukraine

Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups are constantly trying to break through the border in several regions of Ukraine - the Chernihiv, Kharkiv, and Sumy regions.

The need to combat sabotage groups at an even faster pace arose after Russian troops launched a new offensive in the Kharkiv region, namely in the Vovchansk direction and near the village of Lyptsi.

In recent days, Russia has been trying to create another point of tension in the north of the Kharkiv region, in the village of Sotnytskyi Kozachok, where the sabotage groups attempted to enter. Read more about the situation there in RBC-Ukraine's report.
