Russian forces launched drone and glide bomb attacks on Kharkiv starting on the evening of July 25 and continuing into the night of July 26, resulting in confirmed strikes and damage across the city, according to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov’s channel and updates from Kharkiv Regional Administration Head Oleh Syniehubov.

The drone attack began shortly after 10:00 PM Kyiv time. Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported an incident in the Kyivskyi district of the city, later clarifying that the drone had exploded in mid-air.

In parallel, Kharkiv Regional Governor Oleh Syniehubov also confirmed the strike in the Kyivskyi district but later provided additional details, stating that at 10:07 PM Kyiv time, a drone hit a construction tower crane.

At 11:32 PM Kyiv time, Kharkiv came under another Russian drone attack, this time targeting the Shevchenkivskyi district. No casualties were reported, and details of the damage were not immediately available.

Glide bomb strike

Overnight on July 26, the Ukrainian Air Force reported the launch of guided aerial bombs in the direction of Kharkiv. Explosions were heard in the city at around 12:10 AM Kyiv time, specifically in the Kyivskyi district.

"Preliminary reports indicate a strike on a civilian enterprise that has not been operational for several years. Windows were shattered in nearby residential buildings. There is currently no information on casualties," Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov wrote.

Kharkiv Regional Governor Oleh Syniehubov later confirmed that four bombs were used in the strike. Emergency services are working at the scene.

"As a result of the strike on the city, residential buildings, warehouses, and private vehicles were damaged," the mayor added.

At 12:42 AM Kyiv time, it was stated that one person was injured in Kharkiv due to the KAB strike. Syniehubov said medical personnel are providing all necessary assistance.
