The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, appeared in public, drawing attention not only because of her return but also due to noticeable changes in her appearance. During recent engagements, she showcased two different looks and a hairstyle unusual for her, according to RBC Ukraine fashion editor Kateryna Sobkova.
First look: elegance and restrained classic style
At one of the official events, Kate Middleton appeared in a carefully balanced outfit that combined royal elegance with practicality.
She chose a fitted herringbone blazer in a brown and beige color palette. The tailored cut highlighted the princess’s figure and added structure to the look.
Under the blazer, Kate wore a chocolate brown turtleneck, which harmoniously complemented the overall color scheme.

The lower part of the outfit consisted of wide-leg palazzo trousers in a warm brick-brown shade with a high waist. This cut not only aligns with current fashion trends but also visually elongates the silhouette.
The hairstyle stayed true to the princess’s signature style, featuring soft, voluminous waves with a side part.
The look was completed with minimalist earrings and the iconic sapphire engagement ring that Kate traditionally wears to official engagements.

Second look: unexpected braid and sporty style
Much more attention was drawn by another appearance of the princess on January 27, 2026, during a visit to northern England. Here, Kate Middleton surprised the public with a hairstyle unusual for her — a neat braid draped over her shoulder.
Interestingly, the change of look happened almost on the go. At her first meeting at a child trauma therapy service, Kate appeared with her hair down in classic waves.
By the time of her walk with the charity Mind Over Mountains, she stepped out for the public with the braid, completing the look with a Baker Boy hat.

The princess paired her new hairstyle with a sportier, more practical outfit: an olive jacket, skinny jeans, and comfortable walking boots. This look appeared more relaxed and modern compared to Kate’s usual formal ensembles.
