Kaja Kallas predicts at least two more years of war in Ukraine

EU High Representative Kaja Kallas believes that the war in Ukraine will last at least another two years, according to El País.
Kallas stated that the conflict in Ukraine will continue “at least two years”. According to her, the war has reached a dead end, and Russia is growing bolder, as evidenced by the recent attack on Poland.
The publication notes that sources interviewed forecast that the situation in Ukraine will remain unstable until the leadership of both sides changes.
Russian drones attacked Poland
On the night of 10 September 2025, Russia carried out a massive attack on Poland, using 19 strike drones. Of them only four were shot down by Polish air defence forces.
Fragments of drones were found in 11 populated localities, including in three voivodeships, which indicates careful preparation of the attack.
Some of the attacking drones turned out to be the Gerbera model, which Russia uses to impersonate Shaheds and provoke air-defence forces.
In response to the attack, Poland appealed to NATO asking to provide additional air defence systems, including Patriot, and also to consider creating a “drone wall” to protect against similar threats in the future.

Situation at the front in Ukraine
It is noted that in the past 24 hours more than 200 combat clashes took place on the front, the enemy delivered dozens of missile and aviation strikes and employed almost 6,000 kamikaze drones. Ukrainian forces held defence and continued repelling attacks on all directions.
In addition, as is known, Russian army losses during the past 24 hours amounted to almost 900 persons.
