Johnson says providing lethal assistance to Ukraine is crucial
Speaker of the House Mike Johnson has made a statement regarding the provision of lethal aid to Ukraine, deeming it critically important.
The speaker said that we are currently in a critical time on the world stage.
Johnson said he believes that providing lethal aid to Ukraine right now is critically important and is the right thing to do.
Moreover, Johnson believes it's better to send bullets to Ukraine than American men. He expressed his belief in the possibility of a Russian attack on NATO countries, particularly the Balkans or Poland, saying that Xi Jinping, Vladimir Putin, and Iran are the axis of evil.
Johnson added that Russia, China, and Iran coordinate their actions, and Russian dictator Putin could march through Europe if allowed.
US aid to Ukraine
For months now, there has been an inability in the US to pass the extension of funding for assistance to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan.
Recently, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson proposed dividing the Senate's bill on national security into four separate documents. Specifically, funding for assistance to Ukraine amounting to $60 billion was separated into its own bill.
While the document has yet to be passed, discussions are ongoing in the US Congress. President Joe Biden has promised to immediately sign the bills once Congress approves them.
Details of Johnson's initiative regarding aid to Ukraine can be found in the RBC-Ukraine report.
