Jessica Simpson, 44, is divorcing her husband, 45-year-old athlete Eric Johnson, after 10 years of marriage, reports People.
"Eric and I have been living separately navigating a painful situation in our marriage," Jessica told the tabloid.
The singer noted that she and her husband care about the emotional state of their children.
"Our children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them. We are grateful for all of the love and support that has been coming our way, and appreciate privacy right now as we work through this as a family," the celebrity admitted.

Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson got married in July 2014 after four years of relationship.
Before the marriage, the couple had two children: daughter Maxwell Drew, who was born on May 1, 2012, and son Ace Knute, who was born on June 30, 2013. In March 2019, Jessica gave birth to a daughter.

In November 2023, the artist shared that she had struggled with alcohol addiction in the past.
At that time, she had been sober for six years. According to the singer, the main cause of her problem was not so much an addiction to alcohol as a feeling of self-doubt.
