'It cannot be up to Germany alone': Scholz urges EU states to do more for Ukraine
The German Chancellor Olaf Scholz thinks that European aid to Ukraine should not depend only on Germany and is calling on other European countries to provide more aid to Ukraine, reports RP Online.
"It (aid to Ukraine - ed.) cannot be up to Germany alone," Scholz said at the Bundestag.
According to the chancellor, more than half of the EU aid to Ukraine in 2024 will be provided by Germany.
"We have to support Ukraine in its fight for freedom," the German leader stressed.
He also added that there should be a principle in Europe under which the borders of any country will not be changed by force.
