Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced a major military operation against the Hezbollah group in southern Lebanon, according to Netanyahu's page on social media platform X.

The Prime Minister recorded a ten-second video in which he stated a single sentence.

"I have said this before. We will return the residents of the north to their homes and ensure their safety. This will be done," Netanyahu said.

Threat of a large-scale war in Lebanon

In the past two days, Lebanon has witnessed widespread detonations of electronic devices linked to the Hezbollah group.

On September 17, hundreds of pagers used by the group's members exploded across the country.

On Wednesday, September 18, there were numerous explosions involving pagers, radios, mobile phones, laptops, radios, and other gadgets and devices throughout Lebanon.

According to media reports, the operation was organized by the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad. Agents implanted explosive charges into these devices, which receive detonation codes.

The Israeli Ministry of Defense has announced the start of a new phase in the war, shifting the focus northward to return the residents of northern cities to their homes safely and securely.
