Israel captures Hamas internal security chief in Gaza — The Times of Israel

During an operation in Gaza City, Israeli special forces captured a Hamas commander who headed the group's internal security apparatus. He was previously identified as Muein al-Arabid, according to The Times of Israel.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu states that the Hamas commander captured in Gaza City was the head of the terrorist group's internal security apparatus.
"I commend the Shin Bet and the IDF, who in a bold operation arrested today the head of Hamas's internal security apparatus near his home in Gaza," Netanyahu says.
According to the Prime Minister, the captured officer is one of Hamas's top leaders, responsible for hiding and moving hostages, sheltering senior members of the group, building up its forces, and attempting to restore the terrorist organization’s capabilities.
"Recently, he was engaged in efforts to restore Hamas’s governance in Gaza, in deception regarding the issue of demilitarizing the Strip, and assisted in carrying out terror attacks against our forces and our civilians," Netanyahu adds.
He emphasizes that Israel will continue to pursue all Hamas leaders and everyone who participated in the massacre on October 7.
