iPhone 16 first photos leaked: New colors and redesigned camera
Insider Sonny Dickson shared an image of iPhone 16 mockups that reveal new color options and a redesigned camera unit for the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, according to the MacRumors website.
New color palette
The image shows five new colors for the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, which coincide with the previously predicted descriptions by Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo - white, black, blue, green, and pink.
The new colors suggest that Apple is opting for a less muted, less saturated color palette for this year's standard iPhone 16 models, although there may be differences in the materials used compared to the mockups shown.
The current iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models are available in blue, pink, yellow, green, and black.

Cameras
For the 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch iPhone 16 models, Apple is also planning a new vertical camera lens layout, which differs from the previous diagonal layout.
The new orientation demonstrated on the mockup devices will likely allow standard iPhone 16 models to capture spatial video for the Vision Pro headset, which is currently only possible for iPhone 15 Pro models.
Previous iPhones have used a square camera unit to accommodate diagonal lenses, but Apple may reduce the size of the camera unit with the new lens layout.
Other features
The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are expected to include an A18 chip, 8GB of RAM, a new right-side Shoot button for photos and videos, an action button previously exclusive to iPhone 15 Pro models, and more.
All four iPhone 16 devices will be released around mid-September.
