Hungarian government opposes 'preserving Ukraine' in Facebook post, then deletes it

On its official Facebook page, the Hungarian government opposed “preserving Ukraine,” but later deleted the post, reports Telex.
The government's message said that the European Union wants to “preserve the life of Ukraine, finance the million-strong Ukrainian army and the Ukrainian state, and put Ukraine on a fast track to development.” It went on to say in big letters: “This must not happen.”
Later, the government removed the post.

According to Telex, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, during the annual opening of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that the issue of “preserving Ukraine” by the European Union is so serious that it could allegedly “determine the fate of Hungary in the medium and long term.” For this reason, he is initiating a poll among citizens on this matter.
Relations between Ukraine and Hungary
During Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, relations between Kyiv and Budapest experienced some difficulties. Hungary actively opposed the supply of weapons to Ukraine because of its “neutral” position and desire to keep stable ties with Russia. Budapest also blocked some of the European Union's sanctions against Russia.
Meanwhile, the EU is preparing that Hungary may try to disrupt the extension of sanctions against Russia.
