Guterres praises BRICS summit in Russia, captivated by Kazan Kremlin
United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres praised the BRICS summit, expressing inspiration about the Kazan Kremlin, according to Russian propaganda media.
"I had the opportunity to visit the Kazan Kremlin; it is like a wonderful miracle of the world. I believe that all summits that bring countries together are very important, as they address global issues in the world," NATO Secretary-General's words are quoted by propagandist Pavel Zarubin.
Guterres at the BRICS summit in Russia
United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres found himself in controversy after attending the BRICS summit held in Kazan, Russia, where he met with Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin.
According to Ukraine's Permanent Representative to the UN, Serhiy Kyslytsia, Guterres' meeting with Putin undermined the UN's position on supporting the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Following this, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy rejected Guterres' planned visit to Ukraine due to the UN Secretary-General's participation in the BRICS summit taking place on Russian territory.
