Russian occupiers use Grad to repel attacks by Ukrainian air and sea drones. The invaders need this equipment to protect their ships, according to the ATESH guerrilla movement.

"ATESH agents conducted surveillance in the bays of Sevastopol, during which it was noticed that the Russian Armed Forces are using BM-21 Grad and TOR SAMs to repel air and sea strikes of the Ukrainian Defense Forces (UDF)," the statement says.

According to the guerrillas, the Russian occupiers are trying to use Grad, mainly to destroy maritime drones used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to destroy ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.

"As practice shows, this tactic is more likely to fail than vice versa," ATESH claims.

Earlier the agents spotted a large landing ship near Hrafska pier.

"Periodically, we observe the movement of ships in the bays and the coast guard boats going on patrol," the guerrillas report.

Situation in Crimea

In general, explosions are heard more and more often in Crimea. Ukrainian defenders have already conducted dozens of operations on the peninsula and in the Black Sea, destroying Russian bases, warehouses, and ships.

As a reminder, on January 4, powerful explosions were heard in Sevastopol and Yevpatoria. Before that, the Russian occupiers blocked traffic on the Crimean bridge.

Later, the Strategic Communications Directorate of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that a Russian occupation troops' assembly point was hit near occupied Sevastopol. The commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, Mykola Oleshchuk, said that the operation had been carried out with the help of Ukrainian pilots.

The Ukrainian Air Force also attacked the Saky airfield, where another enemy command center was located.
