G7 pledges to fight Russia's missile production
Representatives of the G7 countries have pledged to intensify efforts to deprive Russia of access to high-tech components used in the production of missiles, according to statements made by the ambassadors on Twitter.
The G7 ambassadors expressed their support for Ukrainians who live under constant threat of Russian shelling. "We are doubling our efforts to deprive Russia of the components it uses to strike civilian populations and infrastructure in Ukraine," they said.
Foreign components in Russian missiles
Allied countries have already imposed a series of sanctions against Russia aimed at preventing the supply of foreign components used in the creation of missiles and strike drones.
However, foreign technologies still exist in Russian missiles. For instance, during the attack on Kryvyi Rih, which destroyed a high-rise building, there were approximately 50 foreign components in one of the missiles.
According to the Office of the President, the EU is already working on prohibiting the sale, supply, transfer, or export of certain technologies and goods to third countries, which will significantly complicate the process of circumventing sanctions.
