British heavyweight Tyson Fury, after announcing his comeback, indicated that he does not rule out a third fight with Ukrainian champion Oleksandr Usyk, according to his Instagram.

New challenge from Fury

The former holder of the major heavyweight titles, who recently announced his return to the ring, used his social media for another striking announcement.

On his Instagram account, the Brit posted an archival photo from his first fight against Oleksandr Usyk.

The caption was very telling:

This way, Fury has effectively confirmed his interest in a third duel with the Ukrainian, who currently holds the WBC, WBA, and IBF titles.

The history of the Usyk vs Fury rivalry

The clash between the two boxing stars in 2024 became a major sporting event. Despite shifts in the heavyweight rankings, fans and experts still actively discuss the results of their previous encounters:

May 2024: The first battle for the status of undisputed world champion ended with Oleksandr Usyk winning by split decision.

December 2024: In the rematch, the Ukrainian once again proved his superiority, defending the WBO, WBC, and WBA titles by unanimous decision.

To date, Usyk remains undefeated with a record of 24-0.

For Fury, a potential third fight could be a chance for revenge after two consecutive losses to the Ukrainian champion, although there has been no official reaction from Usyk’s team so far.
