Former heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury has announced plans to prepare for a third fight against Oleksandr Usyk. The British boxer shared a poster for the potential showdown after his scheduled fight with Anthony Joshua appeared to be in danger of falling through, according to the British boxer's personal Instagram account.

The last dance of two warriors

Fury posted an image of his own fight poster against Usyk on social media and said that negotiations for another showdown have already begun. According to the Briton, it will be "the last dance of two warriors" in modern boxing.

In response to the post, Oleksandr Usyk shared a short video in which he simply stated that he is already coming for Fury.

At the same time, a third fight between the boxers has not been officially announced yet. The British boxer's new poster is another sign of his desire to face the Ukrainian in the ring.

The collapse of the Joshua fight

The idea of a third fight emerged amid difficulties in organizing a bout between Fury and Joshua, which was planned for November 2026.

Despite signing agreements with Saudi Arabian promotion company Sela, the parties failed to agree on the financial terms and the venue for the fight. Adding to the intrigue is the fact that Joshua prepared for his latest bouts at Usyk's training camp and in cooperation with his team.

Usyk vs. Fury: The history of their rivalry

It is worth recalling that Usyk has already defeated Fury twice by decision:

  • In May 2024, the Ukrainian won by split decision and became the undisputed heavyweight world champion.

  • In the rematch in December 2024, Usyk confirmed his superiority with a unanimous decision.

After suffering two defeats, Fury announced his retirement from professional boxing, but soon returned to the sport.
