Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Favbet Foundation, together with Croatian partners, has organized the delivery of hundreds of tons of humanitarian aid to Ukraine, while Ukrainians in Croatia have been provided with a space for learning, cultural development, and communication.
In April 2022, Favbet Foundation supported the opening of an Adaptation Center for Ukrainians in Zagreb. The center has become a hub for community engagement and personal development, hosting children’s and adult workshops, gatherings, and holiday events.

Initially, the center offered free Croatian and English classes, later expanding to include art therapy, sports training, creative clubs, and lessons in Ukrainian, mathematics, and reading.
In December 2023, the center held its first St. Nicholas Day celebration, where children received gifts from Andrii Matiukha, President of Favbet Foundation. The event was so well-received that it has now become an annual tradition.

In May 2024, the Foundation joined the sports festival organized by the NGO Chervona Kalyna for International Workers’ Day. The event brought together Ukrainians and Croatians, offering workshops and shared activities, strengthening the sense of unity. That same year, the center also hosted pottery workshops and Christmas events.
The center regularly celebrates Ukrainian Language Day, Vyshyvanka Day, and summer festivals, helping displaced Ukrainians stay connected to their traditions and culture.
Favbet Foundation and the Croatian charity organization Dobro Dobrim cooperation
Favbet Foundation collaborates with the Croatian humanitarian association Dobro Dobrim (DoDo), founded in 2021, to support earthquake victims. After February 2022, the organization actively redirected its resources to assist Ukraine.
Following the Kakhovka dam accident, over 11 tons of aid were delivered, including food, clothing, hygiene products, medicine, mattresses, children’s goods, and pet food. Participants included Chervona Kalyna, Dobro Dobrim, the Favbet Foundation team, and hundreds of Ukrainian refugees in Zagreb.
In 2024, the Foundation and partners sent additional shipments of essential supplies, medical resources, and technical equipment.
The next large-scale initiative included hygiene kits, disinfectants, food, and medical equipment for Ukrainian healthcare facilities. Partners involved were Favbet Foundation, its President Andrii Matiukha, Dobro Dobrim, Croatian companies Kefo d.o.o., Lochman & Rauscher, Medical Intertrade HEP, and the Government of Croatia.
In August, the Ukrainian community in Zagreb celebrated the 34th anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence while organizing a charity event. Humanitarian aid collected included medicines, surgical kits, food, toys, furniture, bicycles, and hospital equipment. Contributors included the Favbet Foundation, Dobro Dobrim, the Embassy of Ukraine, and Chervona Kalyna.
