Powerful explosions were heard overnight in Odesa and Mykolaiv following reports of a threat from Russian forces involving ballistic and cruise missiles, according to Suspilne.

Explosions were heard in Mykolaiv, according to Suspilne correspondents. Additional explosions were later reported in Odesa at around 1:32. Explosions were also reported in Podilsk, Odesa region.

Earlier, the Air Force reported groups of Russian forces cruise missiles, detected in the air and heading toward southern regions. Warnings were also issued about a ballistic missile threat after Russian forces deployed MiG-31K aircraft capable of carrying Kinzhal missiles.

In addition, Russian forces launched Kalibr cruise missiles at Ukraine from the Black Sea.

As of 1:50 AM, the air raid alert map showed that almost all regions of the country were under threat.

Following Russian forces attacks on Odesa and the region, power supply problems were reported. Electricity was completely cut off in some areas, according to the regional branch of DTEK.

Russian forces launch drones overnight, December 12–13

Earlier, explosions were reported in Odesa and Dnipro after Russian forces launched groups of drones at the cities before carrying out missile strikes across Ukraine. Fires were also reported.

On December 12 Russian forces attacked ports in the Odesa region twice in one day. A Turkish vessel was hit, triggering a sharp reaction from Ankara. No Turkish citizens were reported injured.
