Explosions were heard in Kyiv overnight on October 26, as Russian forces launched another drone attack on the capital. Air defense systems are actively operating in the city, according to Kyiv City Military Administration head Tymur Tkachenko and the Ukrainian Air Force.

"At this moment, an air raid alert is sounding in Kyiv due to the threat of UAVs. We urge residents to proceed to shelters and remain there until the alert is over," the Kyiv City Military Administration (KCMA) reported at 2:28 AM Kyiv time.

A few minutes later, explosions were heard in the city. The military said a group of strike drones was detected over Kyiv, moving eastward.

Meanwhile, KCMA head Tymur Tkachenko confirmed that several drones were flying over the capital and that air defense forces were actively responding.

Air raid alert

As of 2:41 AM, the air raid map showed active alerts across multiple regions. The sirens remained in effect in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Poltava, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk regions.
