Explosions heard in Cherkasy, Poltava and Zaporizhzhia amid drone attack

Explosions were heard overnight in Poltava, Cherkasy and Zaporizhzhia as Russian strike drones targeted Ukrainian cities, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Suspilne.
At 00:28 AM Kyiv time, the military reported a movement of strike drones toward Poltava. Explosions were first heard in Cherkasy around 00:17 AM Kyiv time, followed by blasts in Poltava at 00:30 and 00:33 AM Kyiv time. Another Shahed was reported heading toward Poltava from the north at 00:37 AM Kyiv time.
By 00:44 AM Kyiv time, Suspilne correspondents confirmed an explosion in Zaporizhzhia, and a new blast occurred in Poltava a minute later. Monitoring channels later reported reconnaissance activity in the Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, and Zaporizhzhia regions.
Drone attacks
Earlier in the night, the Russian military hit Chuhuiv in the Kharkiv region with a massive drone strike, where more than ten explosions were recorded. On Friday morning, drones also targeted railway infrastructure in the Chernihiv region, injuring a train engineer.
