EU Parliament President arrives in Kyiv
President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola arrived in Kyiv on a visit today, according to her X account.
"Back to the land of the brave. In Kyiv on Europe Day," she wrote.
As Verkhovna Rada chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk said, the European Parliament is at the forefront of supporting Ukraine and was the first EU institution to advocate for granting the country the status of a candidate for EU membership.
"The European Parliament has always had a strong voice when it comes to building an international coalition to support our fight for freedom and European values when it comes to supplying weapons to Ukraine and increasing sanctions pressure against Russia," added Stefanchuk.

Metsola took office as President of the European Parliament in January 2022. Before that, she served as Vice President, and after the death of David Sassoli, she was acting President.
After the outbreak of full-scale war in Ukraine, in April, Metsola visited Kyiv for the first time. At that time, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with her. The parties discussed the coordination of European parliaments for supporting Ukraine.
